Typhoon Nina weakens may leave PAR Tuesday night

Typhoon Nina has weakened after making landfall eight times and may possibly exit the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

Based on the latest update from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services (PAGASA), the center of the typhoon was located at 240 kilometers southwest of Iba, Zambales.

It is packed with maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 150 kilometers per hour.

It moves West Northwest at 20 kilometers per hour. Signal number 1 is still up over Lubang Island, Bataan and Southern Zambales. — UNTV News and Rescue
